We had a perfect day to celebrate the end of our school year.

Enrichment Activity: Police & Fire Visit

I think these pictures show just how much fun the kids had with the policemen and firemen that visited our school.  We cannot say thank you enough to these men and women for their time spent with our kids. 

All about Ramps at EDE (Extended Day Enrichment)

The kids got to learn all about ramps at EDE last week.  They even had a "ramp off" to see
which car would go the furthest.

Pre-K Class Field Trip to the Rainforest

After learning about the rainforest in the classroom, the pre-k class got to take a field trip to the Rainforest at the Cleveland Zoo.

Spring Break!

Hope everyone is enjoying their spring break. It is nice to finally have a couple days over 40 degrees!  Here are some pictures of the kids right before break.  Lots of egg dying and basket making going on.

Stuffy from the Natural History Museum

All of our kids got to meet "Stuffy" from the Natural History Museum.  They learned all about the different parts inside of their body and how it all works.  This was such a great program and the kids enjoyed every minute of it.  Thanks to our Enrichment Committee for planning such a terrific event!

String Instruments

Last week the kids got to listen and learn about different string instruments! A huge thank you to the CIM Community Program for their time and talents!

Parent Educational Meeting

Mid-Winter Meeting at FCCNS
Wednesday February 6th at 6:45pm

We are pleased to announce that Courtney Evenchik of the Who's the Boss? Parenting Education Center will be our speaker.
Ms. Evenchik was educated at The Ohio State University (BS, MA) in the specialty of school psychology. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, a member of the National Association of School Psychologists, and has been an instructor in American Sign Language with a focus on babies.  Ms. Evenchik is also a parent educator and an acclaimed leader of parenting workshops at Who's The Boss? Parenting Education Center and Bellefaire JCB.  She is the mother of four children.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Dentist and Naturalist Visit

We have been busy at school, can you tell I am trying to keep up?!  Our enrichment committee and has been bringing in lots of great people to the school to meet with all the classes.  Recently we had a dentist and a naturalist!

Second Session of EDE

Our second session of EDE (Extended Day Enrichment) concluded right before the holiday break.  So many fun scientific and creative projects were done by all the students.  Some of the fun topics they explored this time were magnets, patterns, animals in winter, and making gingerbread cookies which involved a little math and literacy activities.
